I thought it may be useful to post this quick article to warn others about the Google Adwords Email Phishing Scam.

One of my clients sent me an email saying there ads had stopped running and could i look into it as a matter of urgency. Well there ads were still running and reading the email you could tell it was a scam phishing email.

Things that stuck out were the…

1. Poor grammar (mine is shocking but not as bas as theres lol)

2. The link to Google Adwords – it was to another domain (yes it contained the word Google but only use the official Google adwords page to access your adwords account and not links in emails!)

3. The fact that it asked me to tell them if i thought they were wrong, Google never ask you this.

So be careful and only ever login through the proper Google Adwords home page
